WHEN CAN MY CHILD START WORKING?

When your Casting Networks and Syngency profiles have been filled out, we can start putting your child forward for work as appropriate briefs come through. You won’t need to do anything else but sit tight and be patient. When a client expresses an interest and would like to set up an audition, we’ll share a few high fives around the office and then get in touch with you immediately.

HOW OFTEN WILL MY CHILD GET WORK?

This is the million-dollar question. We can offer no guarantees in regards to how often your child will work. We do not know what work will come up from one day to the next, what our clients will want to advertise or what age groups or sizes that they will require. However, we do choose our children carefully and our hit rate for auditions and booked work is very high.

No agency can offer guarantees.

However, we do promote your child to the best of our ability and we will put your child forward for all jobs that they are suitable for. Ultimately our clients have the final say on who gets the job, but we do have the smallest book out of the tier one agencies and we only take on children who we strongly believe will get work. As a result, the success of Bubblegum can be attributed to the careful selection and quality of our talent and our professionally trained staff.

Please ensure that we have your correct email address and that you are receiving the notifications of the jobs we have put your child up for. That way, you will know what is happening at any given moment.

IS THE WORK DURING SCHOOL HOURS?

The large majority of acting and modelling work is during the week and can be during school time. There is very little work done at weekends as loading applies to crew and talent.

Work, auditions and castings can be at any time. For this reason parents should be prepared to take their children out of school if necessary. However, it’s important that parents must be honest with the school about the reason for their child’s absence. It’s also worth noting that it is perfectly acceptable to turn down a job if it interferes with an important school event.

WILL WE HAVE TO TRAVEL TO JOBS?

It should be noted here that the majority of work is done in and around the inner city areas of Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Perth and therefore you should be aware that if you live in areas outside the cities, some travelling will be involved.
