After the audition, Bubblegum may talk to you about the role and your child’s prospects. Here are some of the terms we may use and the details we may give you.
AVAILABILITY CHECK
On occasions, your availability may be checked by Bubblegum prior to or after your audition. This does not mean you have secured the job; it’s simply to check your availability.
ON HOLD
Period of time before the Talent secures the job; meaning the child/teenager has been shortlisted. If you have not heard from the office and the On Hold date has passed this means you were not selected for the job. Unfortunately, this is out of our control.
EXTRA (TV)
Part of a crowd or background; not required to speak but may be asked to mime.
EXTRA (COMMERCIALS)
Part of a crowd or atmospheric scene; appears only incidentally or in the background with no individual dialogue.
FEATURED EXTRA
Recognisable and part of a crowd.
FEATURED
Will be featured as an individual; may have Dialogue.
BIT PART
May have 6 lines/50 words of dialogue in a program or episode.
GUEST ROLE
Short-term or ongoing Main Role in a TV series.
MAIN / LEAD ROLE
Main Role for the entire length of a project.
CONTRACTS FOR ROLES
Bubblegum may send or email contracts to you for your signature and perusal. These have to come back to us ASAP (within the week as payment can depend on the contract’s signatory).
Be aware that the part your child has been booked for may not always be the part they end up playing. Unfortunately this is beyond Bubblegum’s control. Once again, we ask that you please contact us if you have any queries after the job is completed.
